Privacy policy
Updated 19 October 2026. Grip Price is operated by Grip & Co ApS. Contact hello@gripco.dk for privacy questions and requests concerning your information.
Information used
We read your shop identifier, currency, tax settings and active products and variants, including titles, identifiers, SKUs, barcodes and prices. Shopify authentication sessions and access tokens are stored to keep the app connected. Session records may include the authorized merchant user's name, email address, language and user identifier. We do not request customer profiles or order data, or track visitors to your storefront.
Comparisons and price proposals
We store the competitor URLs and matching details you enter, retrieved comparison prices, timestamps, errors, confirmation choices, price previews and operation history. This information provides the comparisons and review features you request. A preview expires after ten minutes; expiry prevents its use and does not itself delete the stored record. The current release has product read access only and cannot save price changes to Shopify.
Purpose and service providers
We use this information to authenticate your shop, provide price comparisons and previews, verify subscription access and troubleshoot the service. Shopify supplies product data and handles app billing; we do not receive payment card details. Railway hosts the application and its database. The current hosting region is in the United States. Shopify and Railway may process information internationally under their applicable data-processing terms. Approved competitor websites receive requests from our server for the URLs you provide; we do not send them your Shopify access tokens or customer data. Avoid including private information or credentials in URLs.
Cookies and other uses
We use necessary authentication mechanisms and a language-preference cookie, which lasts up to one year. The app does not add advertising cookies or tracking pixels to your storefront. We do not sell app data or use it for advertising profiles. The current app does not send shop or competitor data to third-party AI services.
Storage and deletion
Stored records are kept for the installed app's features. A verified Shopify uninstall notification removes stored authentication sessions. A verified Shopify shop-erasure notification deletes the shop's sessions, competitor sources, price plans, operation history and operation locks from the active database. You can also request deletion by email. Hosting logs may contain request metadata, shop identifiers and operational errors. Provider-held logs and recovery copies follow the provider's retention practices and may not disappear immediately when active app records are deleted. Contact us about deletion requests involving these copies; we do not promise an unverified provider purge deadline.
Security and your choices
Public app connections use HTTPS. App functions require Shopify authentication and records are scoped to the authenticated shop. You can uninstall the app to revoke access. Contact hello@gripco.dk to request access, correction or deletion, or to exercise applicable rights to restriction or objection. We may verify your identity before acting. You may complain to your local data protection authority, including Datatilsynet in Denmark.
